教師節英文由來The origin story of Teacher’s Day

In the Chinese history, Confucius was the first teacher to advocate education for everyone without discrimination. Therefore, he was called the Most sagacious and venerated master after he passed away. Confucianism has a profound influence on Chinese culture. Apart from education, even the most basic daily ethics are deeply affected.

在中國教育的歷史上，孔子是首位提倡「有教無類和因材施教」的老師，因此在台灣被稱作至聖先師。而其衍生出來的儒家思想，更是對中華文化影響深遠。除去教育這一部份，連最基本的日常倫理，都深受影響。

Teacher’s Day was established to memorized Confucius. Thus, our government decided to put his birthday, September 28th, became teacher’s day to honor his dedication. And this is the origin story of Taiwanese Teacher’s day.

教師節是為了紀念孔子而設的。因此我們的政府決定要將孔子的生日「9月28日」訂定為教師節。而這就是台灣教師節的由來啦！
